Stereopsis:

Stereopsis is the visual ability to see your surroundings in three dimensions (3D),which allows the person to judge the distance between themselves and objects around them ,in other words depth perception.

Holographic Illusions:

Creating Holographic Illusion with 3D shapes.

How it works:

When an image from the screen is reflected at an angle of 45 degrees on a clear transparent screen, a reflected virtual 3D image with depth is created.

This illusion is called "Pepper's Ghost Illusion" and the projection pyramid is called Pepper's pyramid.

Scrolling Backgrounds:

How it works:

It is the movement of the background and the object in the opposite direction creating a parallax effect. This is most prominent when the object is static and the background is moving in the opposite direction given the illusion of object moving across.

Rostrum Camera:

How it works:

It zoom in and out and pan across an static image or object giving the illusion of object movement, hence used in animated films. This zooming and panning effect is called Ken Burns effect, based on the name of a British rostrum camera operator Ken Morse.
